Terms of use

1. Who we are

heimatpuls.com ("Heimatpuls", "we", "us") is an independent editorial guide to casino hotels in Germany: licensed state casinos (Spielbanken) and the luxury hotels that stand beside them. We are a publication, not a casino operator, hotel, booking agent or travel agency. We do not take reservations, sell tickets or handle payments of any kind.

Questions about these terms can be sent through our contact page.

2. Accepting these terms

By opening any page of this website you agree to these terms of use and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree with them, please close the site. We may update the terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page tells you when the current version took effect.

3. Age requirement

This website describes venues that offer gambling. It is intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. Please note that the actual admission age at a casino is set by the law of the German federal state in which the casino is located and by the house rules of the venue, and in several states it is 21. Always check the venue's own entry conditions before you travel.

4. What this site is

Everything published here is editorial content: descriptions, comparisons and background on real casino hotels in Germany, written to help travellers decide where to stay. Nothing on heimatpuls.com is an offer, invitation or facilitation to gamble, and the site does not provide any gaming, betting or wagering service itself. We have no commercial relationship with the casinos or hotels we describe unless expressly stated on the relevant page.

5. Accuracy of information

We research our pages carefully and name our sources, but casinos and hotels change their offering, prices, opening hours, dress codes and admission rules without telling us. Figures such as the number of slot machines or gaming tables are taken from the operators' own published information or, where an operator publishes none, from reputable third-party sources at the time of writing, are marked as approximate where appropriate, and may since have changed. Please treat our content as a starting point and confirm the details that matter to you with the venue before you book or travel.

6. Third-party venues and links

We link to the official websites of casinos, hotels, tourism boards and support organisations so that you can verify information and get in touch with them directly. Those websites belong to their operators and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. A link does not mean that we endorse the operator or that the operator endorses us, and we are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of any third-party website. Any booking you make with a hotel or any visit you make to a casino is a contract between you and that venue alone.

7. Permitted use

You may read, print and share links to our pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• copy, scrape or republish substantial parts of the site without our written permission;
• use the site in a way that breaks the law of your country or of Germany;
• attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the site;
• present our content as your own or as the official content of a casino or hotel.

8. Content and photography

The text, layout and design of heimatpuls.com are the property of Heimatpuls unless otherwise stated. Photography on the site is sourced from Unsplash and used under the Unsplash License; every photograph carries a credit to its photographer. The photographs are illustrative and do not necessarily show the exact venue described next to them. Names of casinos, hotels, brands and places belong to their respective owners and are used here only to identify and describe them.

9. Contact form

Our contact form is provided so that you can send us corrections, questions and suggestions about the guide. We cannot make, change or cancel hotel reservations and cannot answer questions on behalf of any casino. Please do not send us payment details or sensitive personal information. How we handle the information you send is explained in the privacy policy.

10. Liability

We provide this website free of charge and "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the site's content, from its temporary unavailability or from the content of third-party websites we link to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for intent, gross negligence or injury to life, body or health.

11. Changes

We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time. If we materially change these terms we will update the date shown above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer resident in another country, mandatory consumer-protection rules of your home country continue to apply. Should any provision of these terms be held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
